In the car ready to go!

Last weekend Andy and I had the opportunity to go to Yellowstone National Park with my family. It was such a fun time we were so glad that we got to go! It was especially sentimental for me for a couple of reasons. First of all, all growing up my family went to Yellowstone almost every year. I definitely didn't appreciate it then but now when I go it just reminds me of many fun trips with my family. It was also reminiscent of my childhood trips because we stayed in the same hotel room that we would always stay in when we used to go when I was little. It was always so cool when we got to stay in this room because it was a huge room that had two king beds, a kitchen, and a balcony.

This is all of us outside of our hotel.

We saw so many beautiful sights, went on some fun hikes, and saw a lot of different animals. My main goal throughout the trip was to see animals. We didn't see very many the first day but the second day we saw some elk, bighorn sheep, and buffalo.

You can't see it very well in this picture but there is an elk in the background.

One of our favorite things we did was a hike to a beautiful waterfall. My mom called the hike the fire escape, I don't know if that was it's real name or just a description of what it was like. This was a long set of stairs (328ish) from the top of a mountain to the bottom where you had an amazing view of a waterfall.

After this we decided to go onto a trail from here that connected to Artist's Point which was such a nice trail. The weather was beautiful and every place on the trail was an amazing scene. This was definitely one of the major highlights of the trip.

This was one of those cute spots along the trail.

My cute parents!
